Movie Review
‘Exhuma’ is a Korean film about paranormal happenings and follow professionals in everything dead. It’s akin to The Exorcism, and I wanted to like it because the tone and pace to start off were fantastic. It was creepy, unique, and utilized the background to perfection. However, the second half REALLY fell off.
What started as a religious curiosity ended up being a giant monster battle. It’s a similar issue I had with ‘Insidious’. It’s such a shame too, because it felt so fresh to start. I was so invested. But when it became a literal fight against a ghost samurai, it just became ridiculous.
