The Ballad of Kung Fu Kenny
“The Ballad of Kung Fu Kenny” is Starship Fantastic’s latest entry into the SUNY New Paltz 48 Hour Film Festival and our last entry as students. It focuses on Kenny, a young man whose father was killed by a Kung Fu master and now he learns Kung Fu himself so he can avenge his father.

A Gentle Heart
A Gentle Heart is my narrative thesis for my Seminar in Digital Filmmaking class. It explores brother-like bond and disability amongst two homeless men. Geoff and Lloyd are homeless men living in a pool together. Lloyd suffers from Huntington’s disease and therefore relies on Geoff to take care of him. However, Geoff neglects Lloyd because he is tired of taking care of him. One day, when Lloyd needs more underwear, they head off to the store, however, Lloyd wanders off. So now Geoff is left to look for his friend.

Cat Damon is a short documentary made for my thesis documentary in my Seminar in Digital Filmmaking class. Cat Damon is an analysis of internet fame culture and a study on what it takes to reach the point of internet fame. We try and reach that level of fame ourselves by creating an online personality called Max Capacity.

“Odyssey Ave” is a short film noir that was made for an online competition that required the films be Film Noir and no more than 2 minutes in length. “Odyssey Ave” is about a detective, Detective Sharp, who enters a crime scene, only to discover that the killer is his lover, Carmen, who killed her husband so she could be with Sharp forever.

“Ophelia” is a short film directed by Elizabeth Zink for a class at SUNY New Paltz. It is about Hamlet and his lover Ophelia. Ophelia is sick and tired of Hamlet, as she falls in love with Matilde. So she comes up with a plan to kill Hamlet and live her life with Matilde.
“ANISA” is a documentary that I created with a group of three others for our Field Production class at SUNY New Paltz. We had started the documentary focusing on Italian depiction and stereotypes in media, but after a lot of trouble and frustration regarding our class and interviewees, we decided to shift gears and project our troubles onto the documentary. This documentary, “ANISA,” which means “ANXIETY” in Italian, focuses on college students and their massive amounts of workload.
“National Insecurity” is a short narrative film created for my Field Production class. The film is about a Russian spy and an American spy who are in couple counseling and are arguing about their privacy. Their therapist, however turns out to be a German spy who is a target for the American spy.
It Can’t Wait
“It Can’t Wait” is a PSA I made for my Field Production class at SUNY New Paltz. The PSA is a parody about having to urinate while driving and waiting to get to the destination before using the restroom.
Descent Among the Trees
“Descent Among the Trees” is a horror film telling the story about a grizzled, aged hunter who goes into the woods for his regular hunting trip. However, he begins to realize that he is not alone in the woods. The hunter becomes the hunted as a seemingly psychopathic killer tracks down the hunter and attempts to murder him.
“Descent Among the Trees” won Audience Choice Award at the Bright Grove Film Festival.

“Barry” is a sports parody on the “Rocky” franchise. “Barry” tells the story about a shy, nerdy boy named Barry who is challenged to a game of beer pong by a tough guy named Jake. Barry is absolutely humiliated, but with the help of Johnny, Jake’s housemate, Barry trains to be able to challenge Jake to a rematch and win back his pride.
“Barry” was my group’s winning entry into SUNY New Paltz’s 48 Hour Film Festival. In NP 48, teams of students are assigned to write, shoot, and edit a film in only 48 hours. All students are each assigned a different genre and every team is assigned a certain name, quote, and prop to use in the film. “Barry” was the winner for the Spring 2017 festival.
Gary and Junior Fight a Cannibal
“Gary and Junior Fight a Cannibal” is a comedy/horror film that tells the story of two independent college students that find themselves noticing strange things around their house. They then are surprised by an unwelcome guest who gives them a terrifying scare.

“Good Morning” is my solo directorial debut. It is an experimental short film about the daily routine. One thing that plagues our world is a mundane, everyday routine. This film is about breaking that routine and the shock that comes when someone does so. Although this is an extreme example, it gets the message out effectively.
A Waste of Gold
“A Waste of Gold” is a film about a post-apocalyptic society where whoever has ownership of the Golden Gun rules the wasteland. One day, the current owner is killed and now the gun is up for grabs. No Name, a nameless wanderer, sets out to find the Golden Gun. However, he is not alone as Chewy is also in pursuit of it.

Gary is a Dick

My first ever short film, “Gary is a Dick”, was made for my Digital Storytelling class in my Spring 2015 semester. The film is a comedy about a college student, Gary, who finds out there is a major in his university about him and how much of a terrible person he is. After finding this out, he works to write a new textbook about how he is a swell guy.
